Health and Education

The South West is a major regional service centre, with a well-developed health and education ecosystem supporting workforce growth, industry capability and regional liveability.

Health services are anchored by the South West Health Campus in Bunbury - Western Australia’s most advanced regional hospital precinct - supported by district hospitals and a growing network of private and allied health providers.

A $471.5 million redevelopment project is set to transform Bunbury Regional Hospital into the biggest in regional WA, reflecting its role as an important community healthcare hub for the entire South West region.

Continued investment in hospital expansion, aged care and specialist services is strengthening the region’s healthcare capacity.

Education and training are supported by South Regional TAFE’s multi-campus network, Edith Cowan University’s Bunbury campus and a range of industry-aligned training providers. Together, they create strong local skills pathways across health, trades, manufacturing, agriculture and emerging industries, supporting long-term regional capability.
